Due to its proximity to Vienna (one hour's drive) the Semmering
is an ideal starting point for sightseeing excursions, visits
to the theatre or shopping trips in the Austrian capital.
The Burgenland (e.g. the Neusiedler See), Graz or Mariazell are
also only an hour's drive away. Rosegger's forest home is even
nearer.
On a day trip it is easy to reach the Wachau or the Waldviertel. Organized sightseeing trips are also possible.
